Create android and ios apps that connect beyond network reach
Extending smartphone WiFi coverage
By deploying maxtech’s max-mesh android and iOs software on smartphones, users can connect to other peers with smartphones and the deployed software over an ad-hoc network. The software utilizes the WiFi capability of each smartphone, dynamically sets each one as a node, and creates a set of connections that form a mesh network between peer users. When the users establish voice calls or chat sessions, the underlying mesh network establishes the desired connectivity traversing other smartphone devices in proximity. The maxtech max-mesh android software constantly and dynamically maintains its network connections and maps various possible traffic routes, thereby assuring that the best route is always chosen to serve the user data path.
Max-mesh android and iOS features
- Connects several mobile smartphones in a private network
- Creates a self-organized network - eliminates the need for manual user setting
- Enables secured communication between network members
- Optimized for voice over WiFi
- Any max-mesh network member can become a gateway for serving p eer nodes
Reaching the Internet via a local ad-hoc mesh network
The maxtech mesh android and iOs software detects the node in its ad-hoc mobile network that has available access to the internet (for example, is connected to a WiFi Access Point) and sets its role dynamically as a gateway node. This enables the ad-hoc network members to access the Public IP using a local WiFi access point.
Maxtech max-mesh android and iOs architecture
The maxtech mesh software stack is deployed on top of a WiFi stack, which enables connectivity to the network while the software creates the ad-hoc network relations and manages a dynamic map of the network members. The max-mesh vNIC is a software component that provides the applications running on the android or iOS operating systems with a virtual network interface card (vNIC), which enables the application to communicate as if it were running on a standard hardware interface. The max-mesh API provides applications with a set of unique methods that enable them to send voice or data communications over the maxtech max-mesh network.
WiFi Aware – The maxtech mesh software uses a service provided by WiFi Aware technology, which enables the discovery of WiFi-enabled devices in the proximity of the user. The WiFi Aware technology assures the discovery is handled in an efficient manner in regards to radio signaling and the maintaining of low power consumption.
WiFi Direct – The maxtech max-mesh software utilizes a WiFi Direct API to establish peer-to-peer connectivity between two or more WiFi-enabled devices.
